That is nicely-optioned C7 money for a 5-year old car.

Good luck with the sale.

It was the same as a Z06 c6 when it was new. Not any more. It is the same value as C7 now. 8 years It will be the same as a C8 or more.

5 years have already told you this is not depreciating and you are still missing it.

Moral of this story quit buying cars that depreciate. This one will not as it hasn't.

1 of 20 Firehawk GT's were built when they were going to make 250, and one collector snatched up most of them.

250 92 Hawks were slated and only 25 were built. Sounds like history is repeating itself. How desirable are those now. In 97 had you the opportunity you probably would have traded a 92 Hawk for a 97 Corvette.

Foresight is what you need to buy and profit enough to enjoy the hobby otherwise its a hole in your pocket and you only dream of what you could have had.

If I had a C7 Id sell it immediately for a 92 Hawk or G8 Firehawk if I could find one for sale.

Lingenfelter, Callaway, Firehawk all only worth what someone is willing to pay and look at what the uber rare twin turbo Callaways are bringing, and lingenfelter resale is a joke. Bottom line it is only 5 years old and with chevy getting ready to release the SS which is basically the same as a G8 firehawk or not and early specs are technically better then the 6.0 slp firehawk, the prices will only go down. at the end of the the day it is a LS2 that is supercharged and history proves GM all aluminum blocks do not like superchargers, hence why all the rave is the steel sleeved aluminum block 5.3 with a huge turbo. Dont get me wrong having number 1 is totally bad ass but asking over sticker for a 5 year old car this soon is a bit much. Its not like it is a fully optioned 98 purple ws6 or anything of which there are only 6 in existence and they only appraise at around 22k mint condition. Good luck with the sale try posting on ls1 tech as well will get more attention there

The '98-'02 Trans Am Firehawks are cool looking with aggressive styling and aerodynamics. Pontiac should have left things alone. G8 is not a Trans Am. Now the C6 Z06 and C7 are cool looking cars as well. 1 of 20 with 500 hp is certainly very collectible. There aren't too many production cars made in the last 20 years that haven't depreciated. Off hand, I can't think of one. Even the GMMG Blackbirds have lost some value. I think the car that has come the closest in the Firebird world are the 1999 30th Anniversary WS6 Trans Ams.

Of course you say you would sell a C7 to buy the car you are trying to sell.

The car is rare, no doubt but IMHO isn't worth what you are asking.

Like I said, good luck with the sale.
