Firehawk rims and tires

Post by Firehawkwhlz » Sat Apr 11, 2015 7:22 pm

I have a set of rims from 2002 firehawk. Three rims are mounted with Firestone Firehawk 275/40ZR17 tires. I also have driver and passenger floor mats. $800 for everything. Email me for pics.

Thanks for the link, Chad. Looks like the barrels are painted to stop the pitting & flaking.

I checked up with him yesterday. Was going to see if they were in better shape than my extra set. Said he has someone else who responded before me interested. He also said the floormats were gone.

I wondered if plastic dipping the barrels of the wheels would help to prevent any pitting or flaking of our chrome rims. Seems like a great preventive maintance thing to do. Plus you can always remove it when you want. Anyone on here have any experience with this. Bring on the comments.

Your asking for trouble adding elastic type substance to your wheels that might come off while driving down the highway. It's out of sight out of mind and if it starts coming off and at highway speeds it comes off like a rubber band and raps around your brakes or something it could cause dangerous or damaging conditions. Just my opinion, I would not try it.
