1999-2002 Firehawk Wanted

Post by #unknown » Sun Sep 20, 2015 1:51 am

Maximum price is $12,000 the options i want are black interior,t-tops,manual six speed transmission, dual dual exhaust and slp blackwing intake which i think both are standard. Decent interior no major wear and less than 110,000 miles but i also don't care within that range. And colors i am searching for are black, pewter, silver and sunset orange.I know it is a extremely difficult find.

EDIT: I found this car but i am unsure if it is a real firehawk http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pontiac-Trans-A ... 1743819709

VIN:2g2fv22g212147796

I found firehawk decals to put back on the car so the only problem is if it is real.

They're out there, just have to be patient. In all likelihood you are entering a time most will disappear from the market. Most people are smart enough to know they can get more for a car like a Hawk in the spring than going into the winter.

Some LT1's are less desirable I believe.. And older. But to me they are more limited due to their low production numbers. One of many reasons why I like the lt1hawks is because what was then SLP actually put the car number on the id badge plaque... Happy huntings

That will flip in time, the LT1 production numbers will likely eventually drive their value above the more plentiful LS1 cars. But for now the LS1 cars are newer and higher performance. If you want it as a car to keep, not modify and be worth more, I'd scoop up an LT1 car right now. I'm already sniffing around to try and get one once mine is paid off

I do plan to modify but i will build a engine and grab a new transmission so i will have the original to put back to stock as well as keep the original exhaust if i change it so the car can be put back to stock and keep the interior stock so it isn't butchered as i have seen some firehawks end up.But it will be an ls1 car because i prefer the look of the ls1 cars.

I have a 2001 Firehawk with 70K miles. It needs some work as the paint job is peeling on the hood and top. The dash is cracked a lot. I really don't want to sell it but it isn't working out for my family and doesn't get driven hardly at all. If you are interested in a car that needs some work, I could go into more detail about known issues.

That ebay car was a real hawk, it was number 420. I talked to the guy he was selling it here in town for 9000. He ened up selling the car to a guy from Lincoln Nebraska. I posted the add on firehawk facebook page a while back, I was trying to get my buddy to by it.

It was actually sold to a gentleman in Metro Detroit ;-) It is indeed a real Firehawk, and I have already ordered not only the correct decals (previous owner didn't like having purple on the car?) but a couple of other goodies for it, too.
