2002 SOM T/A Firehawk -- low miles.

Post by som2002 » Mon Feb 15, 2016 2:39 pm

Thinking about selling my low milage 2002 SOM Firehawk to fund a move out of state, so testing the waters as it kills me to sell her. I ordered the car brand new and am the original and only owner. Never in accident, no repaints, original paint. T-tops, 6 speed, ebony interior, Hurst shifter, Auburn posi, unblistered original chrome wheels with medium worn original tires stored in basement (plus a second set of as clean chrome wheels with SLP centers currently on car), embroidered floor mats / deckmat, portfolio, birth certificate. Had headrests embroidered with "firehawk" in yellow to match door sticker. Yellow windshield banner. "Hurst equipped" emblem under taillight. Removed body side moulding (a.k.a door ding strip) to clean up lines of car. Lou's short stick. Sent it down to Speed Inc in Chicago area to make it a little faster than stock. They added: 222/222 cam, Dynatech Supermaxx headers and catted Y-pipe(all stainless steel), underdrive pulley, ported throttle body, SLP maf, SLP lid, SLP smooth bellows, BMR tubular lower control arms in rear, BMR strut tower brace, SLP subframe connectors. Ran it at the strip once after work was done and it ran a traction limited 12.9 at 112 mph. Has roughly 25,000 miles on it (it is in storage, so exact milage will need to be verified). Didn't come out of storage at all last year (too many other "toys" and short summers in Wisconsin). Never driven in snow, only caught once in rain on way home from a car show. Has won multiple trophies at shows. Have the window sticker, unopened "Last of Breed" kit, unused factory sunshades for T-tops that came with when new. All stock take-off parts stored up in attic. Car is located in south central wisconsin, minutes from the Illinois border. Asking $25,000. In no real hurry to sell, just testing the waters. email is somhawk@sbcglobal.net or pm me for phone number if interested.

When did you get to a rally?

The car is a TA, but doesn't have the upgrade spoiler.

Keep it.

Oil it up, sock it away & forget about it for the next 10 years.
