REDUCED! 97 LT4 Firehawk #0134..

Post by RARELT4 » Thu Jun 30, 2005 11:40 am

Okay, after careful consideration of both what I need & what I want, I'm reducing what I was originally asking for this car, mainly due to just the fact that I don't need it and still have 2 other fbodies that are being utilized at the moment. One is a project car, the other will be an all-out race car.
To save those of you not wishing for the "book" below to read through, it's an LT4 Firehawk, Black/Charcoal leather interior, 6-speed, certified 1 of 29 LT4 'Hawks. All original minus wheels/tires, hauls azz, and has 104,xxx miles and does not leak, blow smoke, etc. Rearend has zero indiciation of eccessive wear & tear, paint is fair & interior is excellent condition. This is not a show car at the moment, but a very quick & rare daily driver or cruiser for some lucky individual who can use this car more than myself, as it's pretty much just sat in my garage since purchase.

ASKING PRICE IS A STEAL @ $12,500. EMAIL ME FOR PICS/INFO ETC or PM ME. MYoung1224@comcast.net

Thanks!

Yes, I hate to do this, and will entertain reasonable offers, but unfortunately, I need to sell the Firehawk. I can't go into all the reasons for this at the moment, but the bottom line is, I just do not have the time & ability to keep this car, and simply parking it in a garage for an indefinite period of time in my opinion isn't a good idea.

It is all original, and completely bone stock, the only exception being wheels/tires. I have inquired both on this board (Thanks Mac Logan, the Man!) as well as with various folks at SLP regarding documentation, information and verification of both its authenticity as well as previous owners, LT4 build number, etc.

It's a black hardtop, 6speed of course, all SLP options, including Level III suspension, balanced/blueprinted LT4 underrated @ 330HP, 1 of 29 with this option. Many other SLP options, including Hurst shifter, engine oil cooler, car cover, floor mats, lightweight flywheel & driveshaft, HD clutch, Zexel torsen rear w/AAM aluminum cover/girdle, high output alternator (140amp), billstein/eibach shock/springs, and the list goes on.

It has 104,xxx miles, and was never in an accident nor any damage ever reported. The paint does have flaws, and the interior is in very good condition, with moderate wear on the driver's seat, 2 small stains I haven't even tried to remove on the rear seat cover, and a small blemish on the dash where the original owner apparently mounted a radar detector. The following components have been installed by me over the past 3 months:

SLP Fan Switch, SLP Air Foil, SLP Thermostat, Airbag for right rear spring, rear sway poly bushings.

Car blows no smoke and runs great. Handles very well, and I am the second registered owner of this car. I am located in Florida, where the car was purchased from a small local dealership after obtaining the car at an auction. I can sent photos upon request and have much more info on the car.

Rick Jensen of GMHTP has responded regarding an email back and forth for the upcoming GM hi-tech supercar shootout, awaiting his response to photos & info sent to him. Contact me by phone, email or PM. Thanks for your time.

What are you asking for the car? I've bought my past 2 firehawks from Flordia. 95 convertiable in Holloywood, 94 hardtop in Gainsville, & my other 95 convertiable I bought from a local dealer here in Georgia.

Charles,

Sorry so long to reply, been a really busy weekend up here. :)

I'm looking for low-mid teens on it, the car would be an outstanding investment for someone looking for this sort of rarity that is also fairly practical. I had intended to hold on to it and completely restore it, ie: paint & wheels - all else is near perfect, but simply do not have the time or space to keep it anymore. I am making a difficult decision because I simply am not going to part with the '95 Z and all the work I've done to that, and I still have an '85 IROC that is out of state to work on, and 2 other vehicles, it got out of hand.

Thanks for the inquiry

C'mon, I know somebody wants this car, considering both its rarity & power, it's a steal from what this thing was new. I'm not saying it is just like a new car by any means, but if you could tell by the way it runs that there was 104,xxx miles on it, you're a better man than I. I missed making it up to GM Hi-Tech's supercar shootout, but plan to work out a feature/article w/them in the near future if the car is still around. However, I don't really have any use for this car at the moment & need the space. I'd put it up against any stock Firehawk, which is why I thought the shootout would be interesting in the first place. Very underestimated, sleeper appearing 'Hawk. For more info, PM or email me asap, as I may consider going the Ebay route soon. Thanks for looking.

Dan, I only wish I had the $$$ available right now...a Black LT4 hawk? 8O

I'd love it. Only thing is, how comfortable is it for sleeping? Its about the only place I COULD sleep if I got it, as the wife would have me out of the house in a heartbeat!!!

Good Luck!

I hear ya Byrdman, I gotta move it, although I really wish I could keep her. Finally get an authentic LT4 car & turn around & need to sell sort of sucks, but I can't sell the '95, I'm in too deep already, and I have no justification to just let this car sit, don't really have the extra space at the moment for a garage queen (especially since that's also where the Z is sitting right now), lol...

Thanks for the bump! :)
