No is is not a Blackbird.
It's a TA Convert that GMMG did an upgrade on.
It's a very nice car, but not a REAL Blackbird.

"REAL Blackbird"? Is an Anniversary a REAL Blackbird? Does GMMG make anything other than cars they plan and build for dealers? NO
Can you take him a WS6 and he will upgrade it for you? NO Don't insinuate that Matt does what he doesn't.

Whats a Blackbird? How is it different than this car? No difference except this is much rarer.

Until I found it and publicized i, it was unknown. Everyone thought the only WS6's were Blackbirds. I am sure if you thought that and own one you might not be too happy to find out your wrong. There is one car built for one dealer with a title that is not Blackbird built by GMMG. Its a "Ram Air Performance edition".

How many GMMG convertible stage 2x's exist? I dont know but this is the only one I have seen. Maybe 3 or 4?

Matt does not build cars for people. He builds cars for dealers. No dealer will have another Firebird built by GMMG unless something changes in the market and GM builds another bird.

Matt will take this car and do any stage package you want just like any car he has ever built for a dealer. Don't think he will modify your car for you unless he built it for a dealer. HE WON'T.

Its one of one. It was unknown. Its the rarest. It will be much more valuable than any "real blackbird" in the years to come.

Wanted a GMMG Trans AM. You wanted this one.

I have had over 40 Firebirds and this is the meanest, fastest and nicest one I have had. Nothing I have had including, Hawks and Blackbirds have ever made me smile like this one does.

This is a Hawk site I think we should leave this alone.

Just to clarify for my own peace of mind - Blackbirds were specially modified Trans Ams done by GMMG and sold through the Carl Black Pontiac dealership in N.J. (hence the moniker), right? So a similarly prepared GMMG Trans Am sold through another dealer could be essentially the same car (or even further modified) but could not be considered a 'Blackbird'. Sorry if I'm stating the obvious, but my affiliation with 4th Gens only recently got started with the acquisition of 'LadyHawk' about 18 months ago. Most of my Firebird knowledge extends from the experimental GM turbines through the 2nd Gens.

If you know the commitment that Matt has made about making cars you know that if you say that he added parts to a car is to call him a liar or dishonest towards those who bought his cars. That does hit a nerve for me since I know him and appreciate him immensely. He made them only for dealers and you will not find him having broken his word. This car was never advertised to be sold to the public like a blackbird was but that makes it more desirable to me and more than likely a collector also. It was an exclusive build and is the only one, unknown until recently. All much more cool to me than to say I have 1 of 50 sold to the public. I thought the car should have brought a much higher price because of it. I still think it will. Its a shame I wont be the one to experience the profit. After the profit on the 92 HAwk I sold last year I am not complaining.

It is sold and the buyer is pretty happy as he should be. He stole it in my opinion.
