Is a superchip worth putting on a 2002 firehawk?

80 mm bbk throttlebody, loud mouth1, slp y pipe, smooth elbow k and n air filter, aftermarket mass air housing, stock mostly with m6, and alot of suspension upgrades.

It might help a litle but don't expect any big seat-of-the-pants gains.

that is what I kind of figured. I have a friend with a G8 gt (6 liter) he has put a loudmouth axle back exhaust and a superchip, he way he makes it sound like it gave him a big gain. He claims he thinks he is going to be able to run low, very low 13 in the quarter. I just have a hard time believing his car wich is a heavier 4 door car is going to run a quicker time than my hawk, or even quicker than my wifes 2010 ss camaro.

Your best bet is one of the computer software dyno tunes.

You can hit up a speed shop and have them do it or buy http://www.efilive.com/ or http://www.hptuners.com/ or http://www.carputing.com/
I do not know how much these are though.

I had looked into the computer tuners a while back also. There is alot of interesting reading on ls1tech on the different ones out there and who likes what. I dynoed my hawk and then after the headers and a few other things I went with http://www.tunedbyfrost.com/ I was going to just make the drive to Richmond Va, since it was about 1 hr away. But just did the mail order way. He is also a ls1tech sponsor. There are many threads on him about his work. The mechanic that originally did my tune, also has Frost come to his shop and tune cars. I am very pleased with everything he did for me for just $99

That is not bad at all. I have a friend that has EFI live but he has to buy credits wich will come out to be $100. I also live about 15 miles from Willys carb. in ILL. They are really good but I need to call and see how much, I have heard he is costly, but on the other hand I would know what the car makes at the tires and you do get what you pay for.
