Looking for opinions regarding paper vs reusable. Paper robs a little horsepower, but...
- How much of a pain are the reusable?
- How effective is the cleaning process?
- How often do you clean yours
Anybody have experience with the SLP 25012B?
Thanks.

Paper.
Not a K&N or re-useable fan at all.
You most likely will not feel/have any noticeable everyday gains by using a hi-dollar re-useable filter.
In MY opinion, not worth it.
Simple maintenance with a replacement paper is suifficient.
And if they are over-oiled, they may mess up the MAF sensor, & many years ago, GM would NOT provide warranty coverage if they found one in use.

I used to be a K&N fan... then went to the Holley Powershot... and now I'm back to paper. I don't need every single bit of HP these reusable filters claim to give you.

Good input. That made my decision very easy.

I have both. Haven't cleaned the K & N one yet after 40k. They recommend 50k.
When do you change your Paper ones or when are you suppose to? After 15k it was dirty so I replaced it, I did the visual test.

i think over time a cleanable filter will pay for it's self. K&N isn't the only filter that can be cleaned
