Post by Cino956 » Tue Dec 27, 2011 3:58 pm

Do i need a new clutch? Should the gear engage when the clutch pedal is closer to the floor or inches from full release of clutch?the car is not slipping while in gear.i just press the clutch about halfway to engage 2 thru 6 gears.do i need a new clutch?firehawk has 62k miles

No vibrations or noises, just changed all the fluids including the clutch fluid, clutch pedal feels smoother after the change.Clutch fluid was probably the factory fluid

Am I understanding this properly?

clutch engages fine...
clutch does not slip...
clutch does not make any noises...
clutch does not have any noticeable issues other than the point at which it engages?

If all above are correct... nope, probably don't NEED a clutch.

Other cars i have had ,the gear would engage as soon as i started releasing the clutch.the Firehawk engages the gear when the clutch is almost fully released. Can i manually adjust the clutch to engage closer to the floor?
