Post by skymaster7 » Mon Sep 10, 2012 10:28 pm

Anyone know the size and source of the drag boot SLP uesd in the level III suspension on the LT4 cars? I was out pulling hole shots and the boot gave out. LT4 #13

If I could figure out how to post pictures, I would upload a photo of it. I already did the bump stops.

the red thing i do believe is a drag bag. go to summitracing.com and type in drag bag in the search and you'll find what you are looking for... pretty sure that wasn't an slp option(?) the previous owner probably put them on.

to post the picture i posted i 1st found a picture on a google image search, then i right clicked and selected View Image Info. from there i highlighted and copied the Location IMG code. then i clicked on the forum board Img in the tool bar you'll see above when typing a message. this will show, . then past the copied IMG code in between.

When I purchased the car it had not had any mods done to it. I don't see why someone other than SLP would spend the time to put it in. The car had been used as a daily driver. It still had all the orginial computer issues ( skip shift and cooling fan settings ).

I definitely do NOT have that red bag in the spring. Mt axle bump stop is orange.

The missing paint on the lower strut tells me the strut was removed so someone could install the drag bag for what I'm guessing was for drag racing(?). I don't know if SLP installed the skip shift but the cooling fans(?), I'm guess it has a manual switch which would probably be utilized also for racing. If SLP put them on their cars the drag bags probably would have been noted in their brochures.
