95 Firehawk Automatic. What would cause or make the car act like it's hitting the Rev limiter when accelerating? At WOT the revs reach 5800 but instead of shifting into second it acts like it's bouncing off the limiter and mildly back firing. I just changed the opti and it did it before and now after it was replaced. I don't know if was ever tuned to have the shift points changed but it's annoying. Any ideas? Anyone experience something similar?
I broke it in (fine then), but now that I put the fuel pump on, it cuts out at higher rpms. If I floor it, it is fine until it reaches about 35, or until it shifts.
