Spark Plug Recommendations?

Post by Maplehawk » Thu Oct 05, 2000 1:50 pm

After getting my Opti Spark and plug wires replaced I find that I still have a stumble at 3500 rpm under high load. I can't tell you how thrilled that makes me.

So the next thing I'm going to try is replacing the spark plugs. I can always put in stock but why not upgrade.

Any advice? The only other ones I can think of are Bosch Platinum and the GM Rapid Fire. I wonder what Lingenfelter uses?

I used the AC Delco Rapid Fire # 3 in mine. Car runs well. Also, alot of others like the NGK TR-55 plugs.. Either will work fine, and the NGK's are the cheaper of the two if you are on a budget. Our local O'Reilly Auto Parts stocks both of these plugs. Don't forget to use anti-seize on the new plugs.

Good Luck

I just put the NGK TR55vx, the platinum ones, in. I know several people running the NGK's and like them. If you order them go to www.partsamerica.com.
They were have in a 25% off intro special. Paid $45 including shipping.
