Recommendation on Tires

Post by Mike Biccochi » Sat Mar 24, 2001 2:12 pm

I just recently bought a 95 Firehawk and it needs new tires. There were Bridgestone Firehawk 275/40-17 tires on it. My local Goodyear dealer says a that will cost about $226/ tire to put back on. I was hoping for something a little cheaper but wondering if I should fork out the x-tra cash to put the same type of original tires on the car to keep the car as original as possible. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Mike, It's all just a personal choice. If you want to keep your Firehawk as close to factory original as possible for showing or whatever, then stay with the Firehawk tires. There are better tires for dry traction (IMO) but I think that the Firehawk tires offer the best wet/dry traction combination around. Check out tirerack.com for their prices. I used them for my last set and was very pleased with prices and delivery. Good luck on your deciscion, Bob D.
