Possibly out of your valve covers? Take a telescoping mirror and flashlight and nose around near the fire wall, just below the valve covers.

Sounds like the infamous LT1 oil leak. The back of the intake doesn't seal correctly because of the EGR connection and over time will cause a pretty good oil leak. There are several websites out there to help you fix the problem.

A mirror will help you diagnose this as BlackHawk99 stated.

Another vote for the intake manifold gasket leak. Probly 99% of LT1s had/have it.

If it's from the back, it's most likely the intake gasket.

If it's from the front, it could be any of the 3 front cover seals (water pump drive, distributor drive, or front crank seal), or the front intake gasket as well. Depending on mileage, you could also have valve cover gaskets leaking.

You didn't give us a plethora of info to go off of though  Is it from the front or rear of the engine? How many miles are on your car? Any recent repairs done that could disturb a seal or gasket?
