t/a or formula

Post by LT1_Hawk » Sun Apr 09, 2006 5:25 am

i have a 1993 firehawk #064. i am woundering if its a t/a or formula after reading a post on here about a 93 firehawk that was for sale on ebay and could of been the mysterious car number 201. i always said it was a formula but after reading some t/a's slipped through instead of just formulas, i started to wounder. i know it says formula package and formula firehawk, but then whats up with the trans am coupe option? the code causing my concern is ws9. my hawk also has w66 and r6v so it is legit. but gaw, t/a or formula? also, it has the formula spoiler

You have a Formula Firehawk, the T/A Firehawk was offically released into production in 1999 thru 2002 although there was Comp TA build not sure of years on this model. All T/A's start out as a Formula, then they add the T/A package The code for the Firehawk package is WU6 for the 1999-2002.

Although I am not a firehawk expert, I can speak on the 94's since i've owned three of them. Even though you have a lowdeck hatch, even the Trans Am came into different levels in 94. There was the Trans/Am with the T/A front bumper cover, and then the Trans/Am GT with the high rise hatch that you see today. 95 was when they changed the Trans/Am GT just to the Trans/Am model. What does your front bumper cover look like. If it is a T/A cover you might be right, if it's a formula cover then it's just a formula. this might help. But at this point bottom line it's just a formula

Your car is a formula, just like mine. There were no t/a hawks back then, like previously stated only comp t/a's.

There were about 12 firehawks in 1994 that were on the trans am body. Here is a picture of mine with a 1994 formula version.

Here are some more pictures of the differences between the pilot cars and formula. 4 of the Pilot cars came with the SLP headers, hence the 325 hp rating on the dash plaque.
