"Y"pipe?

Post by BLACK-HAWK » Thu May 11, 2006 11:31 am

hte driver side header was cut off before it was given to me. about 3in. would it be cheeper to get a custom "y" pipe made or just buy the pipe and have a shop weld in a 3in. piece to fill in the gap?

Probably cheaper just for someone to weld in the missing 3 inches.

If the missing part included a flage, have one made up as well.
You'll regret not doing it if you ever have to work on it.

Replacing a 3" peice shouldn't cost you much.
The shop will probably charge $40 for the time and material.
Maybe a little more to get a flange fabbed up.

the exhaust / rearend is all good to go. for the exhaust, it's got a custom Ypipe to a highflow cat then a cut-out, back to the stock firehawk muffler with the two tail tipps out the driver side. she sounds freeking awsome. all 3" from the pacesetter headers back. the rear end i got out off a junk yard with 3.42 gears with 44k miles on it for 300. all set and done 1200$. tuning is coming up next!!!
