How many have experienced spring fatigue in their Firehawks ? Our 2002 Firehawk #189 has gotten ridiculous as of late, every bump in the road has simply become un-bareable. They have to be replaced to enjoy the car any further... Checking on SLPOnline.com they list springs up to the 2000 yr model. So what was changed in the last 2 yrs? The springs on my 95 Comp T/A are simply perfect.. No issues on a car 7 yrs older! Input ?

Sorry guys for not being on very much as of late... Been super busy in the shop and at work.

My '02 trans am 1le hawk rode very nice on stock suspension (Koni oca's & 1le springs, can't remember the official name for them.) Grew tired of the 4x4 look after seeing how good the Bilstein equipped cars looked online. Replaced the springs with Strano in the rear & Eibachs up front. The rear is 1/2" lower than the front right now. If it doesn't level out, I will put Stranos on the front. The car now rides like a truck, I feel every bump in the road. But that's ok, the car looks soooo much better lowered.

I ordered my 02 Hawk with the Bilstein setup. Still very nice ride and I have no spring fatigue, but also only 36,xxx. So far my Hawks suspension is holding up very well and seems to be as good as when I first picked it up. Does it ride like a Cadillac or Lincoln, nope, but that is not what I wanted from her.

Now I will be getting my third set of tires come spring.

I have around 70,000 miles and have not noticed any problems with the Bilstein setup so far. Springs seem to be doing good as well.
