Just confirmed, set #5 is sitting on the receiving dock in Valencia, California at California Chrome Wheels waiting to get the show chrome treatment. The barrels on this set are perfect, so they should look stunning when I get them back. Can't wait. Like a kid waiting for Christmas.

Re: What did you do to your 'Hawk today?
recently, from a 2 year old incident where i had a valve spring go by by ( I had a 224 224 112 lsa cam with dual springs installed at the time). After i limped home and 10k later, I had the heads replaced, stock cap put in, stock exhaust put in ( decided to be legit in California). I did not touch the bottom end. 2 oil changes after repairs no issues for 2 years... until this February 2015, heads etc, at oil change, i had metal shavings (knew something was wrong as car sounded like it was dieseling, but as no other symptoms other than sound, i had to wait). So rebuild time.
Come 3 weeks later, I had my shop have Eddings engines rebuild the engine. My mantra, when it breaks, UPGRADE! I researched a new engine etc, and found rebuilding the original cheaper. Remember I also want a legit SoCal law-friendly build. The engine was bored out, forged Ross Pistons & rods installed, and file-fit ring gaps done. To quote the shop "boykin Automotive whose owner runs 6.8's "best damn balanced engine I ever seen".
I have the hawk, work done at 98,700 miles. Currently at 99, 850 mile.
Plans for the future. I live the next town over to Granatelli, gave them a call, to plan for an open road-racing styled setup. After a medical necessary 65k into my teeth, I plan to have a ATI P-1SC blower @ 10 psi (remember I had the forged pistons/rods installed ), upgraded transmission, replace the rear end, strange 12-bolt or a 9" (low number geared rear like 3.23 or 2.73's vs current 3.42's). In the end I will conservatively have 600 smog-legal rwhp.
Setup will have stock compression, thus making the power (linear) at 3k, and everyday 1-3k driving near stock, with power on tap whenever desired.
The heads I installed were AFR 210's that flow over 300 cfm. 13+ years and I still love my Firehawk.

Yesterday, I took delivery of my 6th set of Firehawk wheels. Finding 4 perfect ones is proving difficult. Optimism is the key.

Re: What did you do to your 'Hawk today?
Recently replaced my rubber brake hoses with new technifit stainless hoses (in red) and gave the system a good flush and new brake fluid, all SIX hoses since I have TCS, I figure these hoses were ready to be replaced on a 15 yr old car.
Pedal pressure *seems* much improved...YMMV
And then a nice bath too

Re: What did you do to your 'Hawk today?
Went to Race Proven Motorsports to talk to them about a blown, meth injected 6.0L LS swap with LS3 heads and intake, custom cam and headers for my Hawk. Waiting on the ungodly bill to get emailed to me so I can weep in private.
If It's too much, I'm going to knock my 396 down to a 383 and throw a Procharger and meth/water injection on it and probably end up with 750rwhp. Not a bad compromise if I have to say so.
