That is a sweet ride! lol.

But let's be honest, you can buy bonefied SCCA cars for about $45,000 used. The Hawk is cool, but it is $35-40K of cool, not $90K of cool. I'd pay him $40K right now for it, but not a penny more for about another 25 years or so.

This is a comp package car and they should pull more than a base hawk would.
In the last few private sales I've heard about, (base hawk) has gone for 60-75ish.
Always looking for SLP/Firehawk parts for 3rdgen birds.
PM me.

To each their own, that is lofty territory for almost any Firebird, I just don't see them ever being worth that much. Hopefully a collector will get it and prove me wrong.

To my way of thinking any owner of a Hawk should be happy to see values of 1st gen Hawks climbing, as even though there were MUCH less of them produced, it will hopefully translate to the LT and LS cars climbing also as they get older! 😀

I could be wrong but I don't think 4th gen Hawks are going to come near the value of 3rd gens with the possible exception of the '97 LT4 cars.

I agree, too many of them. They will be worth something, but not as high as the 3rd gens. They are also a lot less unique than the 3rd gens.

I realize the first 25 third gens will always be worth the most, but who would have ever thought that 77-81 black and gold SE would go for over 100k? Yet I saw an 81 with ultra low mileage do just that, and another 77-79 survivor went for 80-90k at the same auction, and I am sure they built a lot more of those during that time. Historically, performance vehicles seem to always have an audience as they get older, and people want to re-live their youth, or own what they had or wish they had back in the day. So hopefully our Hawks will do the same, but for now I am just happy to own one!

Well to be honest, they all go for whatever someone feels they are worth. Get 2 people at action with a lot of money and desire things happen. The problem with that is then everyone thinks theirs is worth that much and that is rarely the case. Most 77-81's will sell for between $20-$40K, as do most rare Firebirds with a few exceptions. I think the 89 TTA will be worth A LOT more than any of our Hawk's. So if you want a 3rd gen investment, I'd grab one of them up while they are only $25-30K
