New In The Box!!! FIREHAWK Chrome Wheels with Pics

Post by SOM Firehawk 02 » Mon Dec 12, 2016 7:27 pm

For sale is a (brand new in the box) set of (4) 1998 -2002 Pontiac Firehawk 17" Chrome Wheels with Center Caps!!!!!

These wheels are in perfect condition with no peeling of the chrome anywhere, not even on the inside barrels (See Pictures). I ordered these new back in 2002 When I purchased my SOM Firehawk knowing that SLP had an issue with the Chrome peeling off and them not covering them under warranty

As you can see from the pictures below these are new in the box and have never been bolted to a car and also have never had a tire mounted on them. They barrels are perfect along with all the chrome on the outter surface of the wheel (see pics). They may be a little dusty in the pictures from sitting in storage all these years

There is absolutely no curb rashing, scratch, pitting, peeling or marks of any kind on the surface of the wheels.

As many of you may know these wheels are famous for the chrome peeling off on the face of the wheel and on the barrels, like many original ones did. Since I'm going to be putting my Sunset Orange Metallic Firehawk for sale soon I do not need these anymore and wanted to post them on here first in case there is someone who has a low mileage Firehawk (like mine) that may want a set of Show Quality Firehawk Wheels.

I know that I am asking a lot but these wheels are not for your average driver car. These rare wheels are getting very difficult to find, especially in brand new condition.

Asking $3500 OBO plus shipping $150 approximately. Feel free to give me a call or text me at 904-315-1554

I also have a brand new set of the original Firehawk Firestone Tires that came on our cars. These tires have never been mounted on wheels....They have been sitting in climate control storage and should be use for car show events only. asking and additional $1000 or may make a package deal to the person who buy the Firehawk Wheels....

HUGE number for rims that are known to have issues with chrome quality but someone may be willing to pay it.

After a Few years of use, These Wheels will also start to Bubble and Peel, I have never seen a set that didn't. I bought my Firehawk with only 13,000 Miles on it and the Wheels were wasted.

It’s all in how you take care of them. I bought my car new almost 17 years ago and my wheels are in mint condition. I would put them up against anyone’s out there. You have to keep them clean all the time.

Same here no issue with mine and I've owned the car since new with 7 miles on it and close to 18,XXX now. Always keep them clean, though mines not a daily driver or in any kind of bad weather.

Why would you want to gouge people??? You can take sheety peeling chrome wheels and re-chrome them for leass than $1500. And those will last longer, be shinier and deeper lustre than the original 18 year old wheels. For those of you that say yours are perfect....post pics of your barrels.....

Perfect as perfect can be for these wheels. I think I had a leg up on most people. My cousin was the service manager at the dealership that I bought my car at and I went through 4 complete sets before I had 4 perfect wheels.

Guaranteed NOBODY has a perfect set unless they have been in boxes. If they are mounted....they ALL have issues.

2nd. I don't know why these wheels are so clamored for? Anybody can call American Racing wheels and order a set for cheap too. It's American Racing's design and SLP just shaved the lip off to make it SLP Firehawk Wheels.

I wanna meet the moron who buys these for $3500. I have 4 sets of wheels.....3 hoods....3 Iroc spoilers.....etc.

Take off your wheel
Look at the ARE stamping
Call ARE and ask them for part number of their wheel that was made for SLP.....
