Fake hawk on ebay??

Post by jd_firehawk » Thu May 24, 2007 9:32 pm

Is this a fake?

Ebay Link

I don't believe that is a firehawk hood, but maybe I'm wrong.

Not sure it if it real or not. It does have what looks like a valid dash plaque and two on the left exhaust. I request a image of the RPO code list and added as a valid hawk for now. Can always move it to fake if we find out that is the case.

Good find!

Thanks,

Brian

Didn't SLP install a new belt routing decal when they put the R/A box on? It would be covered up where it is on this car. I also don't see any mounting holes for the Firehawk R/A box.

A quick Google search turned up this thread on this very website:

Some stuff seems to line up (Vortech, colors, etc). Some doesn't (T/A wing, wheels, etc).

PS-Gee...it sure would be a lot easier to discount this as a fake if we knew you couldn't buy everything to build a fake one any day of the week on eBay, huh?

I ran the VIN, it's number 326 and has the optional exhaust and suspension.

Step up and buy my warehouse full of Firehawk inventory and you won't have to worry about that any longer. 8O

How much for the inventory? :D

Thanks for running the VIN and confirming the identity of the car.

Ooops - I meant exhaust, I looked at the screen too quickly. I edited my post above.
