Re: What times have you guys run with your stock firehawks?

13.6 @ 105, only mods were the drill mod and an LS7 clutch, and decent street tires. Could probably get better with a little more practice.

Bilstein option question

Long time no post but I've run into a minor problem with my Firehawk. 2001 T/A Firehawk, has the Bilstein Suspension. Last winter when the car was in storage the sidepost fell out of the original battery and it leaked acid all down the inner front subframe (framerail) sway bar bracket/mount, lower c...

Re: Dexcool or antifreeze

I drain mine every couple years, usually keep it around and recycle it in my daily driver Buick when it gets low, lol.

Yeah I read that the other day, you see that guys freakin garage? Insane. Still my favorite generation of firehawks. Hell, I'm a sucker for 3rd gens in general. How'd you like to have a job like the guy doing the burnout - just work on a huge private collection of classic, rare, and muscle cars and ...

Sweet deal! Just got mine paid off too. But I had to sell my house to do it, lol. We moved into a new house actually and sold our old one for over twice what we paid for it 5 years ago and had enough equity to make the down payment on the new house, pay off the hawk and buy some furniture....and I g...

I don't think I've ever found a book on cars that was completely accurate, always seems to be some kind of mistakes in them somewhere. Best one I've found to date is "Standard Catalog of Firebirds" by John Gunnell. But there's still some errs in it. It also lists 92 as the first year for the formy f...

Nope, they're all honeycomb. I did resize the pic to be bandwidth friendly, might have taken a little too much out.

Finally got some decent pics of the Hawk

I'm still not 100% happy with the quality. My wife and I drove down by the river over the weekend but it was a little too bright, then stopped by my Grandmothers house later on but then it was almost too dark. Oh well, guess they're not that bad, but when I get a better camera I'll spend some more t...

Cool, thanks guys. I haven't gotten to it yet - my daily driver has the optional self-destructing transmission and it went the other day so it's taking up garage space right now. But I did get the diffential additive at the dealer, didn't know there were 2 kinds. I just asked for the additive and th...

I've got a set on my daily driver, they lost alot of wet traction when the treads were barely halfway to the wear indicators. But I did get really cheap ones since it was for a really cheap car.
