Random SOM Formula Hawk sighting...

Post by LT4 Hawk 9 » Mon Mar 29, 2010 10:29 am

REALLY odd. Very few Hawks in my area, and I saw a red LS1 TA Hawk earlier this week while driving my IH Scout in Harrisonburg. Pretty rare to see. Then, Last Thursday I decided the LT4 Hawk need to stretch it's legs a little, and I drove it to a job about 30 miles north. Cruising up I-81 at around 11am, I see a set of F-Body DRLs coming at me...turns out it was a SOM Formula Hawk. It was at milemarker 258, he was headed south. It had black phoenix bird decals on the B pillars. I didn't really have time to react past waving through my tinted windows, so I don't even know if the dude waved back or even saw me. I thought it was pretty cool to see a rare SOM Formy Hawk while driving my LT4, though. I don't know if it was anyone here or not...but if so, I saw you rollin'!

I thought there were 3 SOM Formulas in 2001. The Hardtop Stick went to Oklahoma in 2004, the TTop was in Kentucky, and I didn't know the lady who had the Hardtop Auto had sold. Did one of these go to VA, or did I miss something?

There were a total of 4 SOM Formulas built in 2001.
2 hardtops and 2 T-tops.
An automatic and 6 speed in each body style.
