Changed oil, blocked her up and put her away for winter. The "s" word is in the forecast.

Not my Hawk, but my ws6. I duplicated the Hawk's exhaust as it was too quiet. Not anymore. Stainless, polished 1 7/8" long tubes, 3" collector all the way through the high flow cats & Loudmouth 2, into 2 1/2" tail pipes that the stock ws6 slipped right over. Sounds real nice now. And I can drive mine all winter, no snow in the forecast.

Performed yearly oil change. Only 130 miles added this year. The oil looked almost as clean coming out as it did going in.

Decided to do the LS swap that I spoke to Race Proven Motorsports about. The only thing I have to do is get a FMIC from Proharger so I can see what I have to trim to make it fit.
I'll be selling my LT1-based 396as soon as I get it reassembled and dynod. Also selling jet Hot long tubes (with emissions hookups, stock 10-bolt w/4.11 gears and a few other odds and ends.
Gonna be a fun next few months.

No 427 LSX, going with a 6.0L iron block and it won't be stroked.

Missing my 10th Anniversary today. It is hidding in the shed behind a big snow bank. Only two and a half months till l can roll up the door and see if it is still there. Watching Youtube videos just isn't the same as driving my car.

I actually drove mine just this past weekend! I had a new detached garage built this past fall/winter and I finally moved the Hawk from the attached garage back to the new detached for storage for the remainder of the winter.g.conway wrote:Missing my 10th Anniversary today. Not today or yesterday. It's been about 2 weeks since I noticed some a-hole hit my Firehawk. No damage other than paint scratched down to primer. I have no idea when or where it happened. The car has never been out of my sight while I have it out of the garage. Going to get it repainted in April, when I have a week off.

Got it back from paint, which was color matched, & had to give it it's 1st bath in over 3 years. Very dusty from the body shop. Full detail with clay bar, wax & polish. Machine polished various spots. Had forgotten how gooood my Hawk looks with a fresh detail. It won't be 3 years between details again.

Put it's 2nd aftermarket battery in 14 1/2 years in today, then took it for a spirited drive to commemorate the occasion. I love the sound of gettin' on the Loudmouth.

Got the fuel tank installed and started laying out the new brake lines while prepping to install the rear and rear suspension.

Baby steps are better than no steps. Any progress is good.
