Just received an email regarding an estimated delivery schedule. Possible pick up Friday, April 5, 2019 with delivery on either the 6th or the 7th. As long as I have it by Wednesday April 10. Forecast to be clear & sunny all day. Picture day.

Got a call from the transport company driver today. Thursday 4/4/19. The car is being picked up around 4:30 to 5 PM Friday evening in Alabama. Scheduled to be here around 9 AM Saturday morning. April 6. Then it'll be let the transformation begin. Going to ebony interior. Been a loooooong time coming. I have wanted a Sunset Orange Firehawk since 2002. Discovered the new color in a publication I received when I bought my 2000 ws6. That car was jinxed.

Got the car this afternoon. Of course it was slightly overcast, so no yellow in the paint. It is supposed to be clear next Wednesday & Thursday. Perhaps then...

Loaded the memory card into the computer to load pictures of my sunset Hawk, when I discovered I missed a picture of red. Underhood beautification. https://imgur.com/OVrjJZ2

Took the Hawk out last Saturday night. Went over & picked my girl up then headed to dinner. On the way there, we stop at a red light. A Harley Evo pulls up next to me & starts revving his engine. A Harley is no crotch rocket, so I figure I might have a chance. No sooner had I told her to hold on, the light turned green & I punched it. I got the jump & that's all it took. He never caught back up. I had about 2 car lengths on him when I lifted. We are side by side at the next light & he proclaims, ''Damn, that car sounds good. Quick too.'' I gave him a thumb up as that light turned green. He didn't want any more.

Mama calls it the loud car. She prefers my ws6, which is way more tame sounding.

It amazes me on how loud red is on a cold start & has been from day one. The sunset hawk I just acquired is so placid on cold starts. I’m not sure duplicating red’s long tubes, high flow cats with a Loudmouth muffler will wake it up that much. But I plan on trying.

Picked up a screw in the left rear tire. Right on the shoulder of the gripper. No good to plug or patch. Went to Tire Rack to search for a replacement 275/40/17. The car has the Goodyear Eagle GS D3 set on it. TR had 1 left in stock. Grabbed it. It sucks because the old tire had only 1100 miles on. It was like new still.

Approaching 20 years with this car & I can't believe it still smells like new inside. My ws6 still does too. Of course, neither has ever been driven with the windows down or t tops off. Can I get 20 more out of them?

Well, during my move, the car sat for 14 months. Not good. Needs a new clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, master & slave cylinders. That's it so far.
