I recently purchased a 94 Firehawk and was wondering about these heads. I can't find much mention on the ethers of the internet about the significance of the "B" on these heads. Does anyone know? Are they specific to firehawks? I have a 97 camaro that has 12551561 heads, without the B. It seems weird that an engine 3 years older would have a revised head casting #. Any help that anyone could provide would be appreciated.
Thanks

Not sure about the casting numbers, but the engines in 2004 firehawks were stock LT1’s. There were no engine modifications. Just the intake airbox, and cat-back exhaust if equipped.

There were only very minor casting differences in the 2nd generation lt1 heads...... '92 - '97 and they all had the same size valves and runners. The Lt4 heads had the runner raised just a bit compared to the lt1 heads. The only real difference was the B body cars with the Lt1 had iron heads instead of aluminum.
